Hello Folks,

I have downloaded IEEE 34 Bus system from the following link:

https://pscad.com/resource/File/PSCADV421Student/IEEE34bus.zip

I had problems running it and I got error messages for some advanced components. I have simplified the model and attach it here. Please run this and see whether you can find the solution.

Thanks in advance.

Did you manage to run your model?

I see you only removed the power units. What are the default units? shouldn't wealso scale thevalues? I assume the errorimplied that PSCAD can only accept "MVAR"as units for reactive powers. Please advice.

Yes for every block in the HELP the default units are given

There are some mistakes with the power units. I got the same error as you.
you can use kW and kVar as power units, just copy it from other parts of the project, do not input by youself, and that will work.
It's a weird thing!
BTW: The IEEE 34 model provided by pscad has some wrong parameters and do not exactly fit the original IEEE 34 bus model.
